General Information

European Partnership for Photonics
Photonics (light based technologies) is an essential building block for the digital transformation and for a green and healthy future in Europe. This partnership aims to speed up photonic innovations, securing Europe’s technological sovereignty, raising the competitiveness of Europe’s economy and ensuring long-term job and prosperity creation. By 2030 Europe will have maintained leadership in core and emerging photonic technologies.

A highly motivated photonics industry and academic community, represented by Photonics21 with its 3000+ members, is behind the Photonics Partnership Proposal for Horizon Europe. This community has shown in the current Horizon2020 Photonics Public Private Partnership that it meets its expectations.
