  13 September 2022  - 14 August 2022

We would like to cordially invite you to two events of interest to SMEs intending to bid for EIC Accelerator funding in the forthcoming 5th October cut-off date – the final date for 2022. These events are organised by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) under the “Turkey in Horizon 2020 Phase II” Technical Assistance Project which is co-financed by the EU and the Republic of Turkey and implemented by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology within the scope of Competitive Sectors Programme. They are provided free of charge to eligible SMEs.

EVENT 1 – Project Writing Camp, 13th September 2022, Radisson Blu Hotel, Şişli, Istanbul.

We are pleased to announce our eighth one-day Project Writing Camp for SMEs. The event is aimed at participants from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) employing below 250 people who are currently involved in preparing proposals under the Horizon Europe EIC Accelerator Programme for submission by the 5th October cut-off date. The event will focus on interpreting EIC Accelerator requirements for full applications, sharing the experience of international experts, guest SMEs and other participants.

Draft proposals should be brought along for short one-to-one consultations to facilitate improvements/amendments as a result of the training input. The event will commence with registration at 09:00 to 09:15 and end at 17:00.

Places are very limited, so an early application is essential. To participate, please register using the following link:

EVENT 2 – Pitching a Project to the EIC Jury Panel, 14th September 2022, Radisson Blu Hotel, Şişli, Istanbul.

This event is also aimed at participants from Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) employing below 250 people who are currently involved in preparing proposals under the Horizon Europe EIC Accelerator Programme

One of the key aspects of the programme is the pitching of successful Final Applications for support to an EIC judging panel who will then make the final decision on whether the EIC should fund the project. Only a short time is available for the jury to present and answer questions on a project, so it is very important to optimise the chances of a bid for funding through sound presentation techniques and correctly structured content.

The event will focus on interpreting EIC Accelerator requirements for presentations, good practice in presenting proposals and professional presentation techniques. The panel of presenters will include Turkish and international experts with experience in presenting to the EC and in the wider commercial world. They will share their experience through interactive presentations and workshops.

Draft pitch presentations should be brought along for short one-to-one consultations to facilitate improvements/amendments as a result of the training input. The event will commence with registration at 09:30 to 09:45 and end at 17:00.

Places are very limited, so an early application is essential. To participate, please register using the following link:

Because proposal submissions to the EIC must be made in English, the event will also be staged in English, although Turkish speakers will be available.

Assistance may be available to those travelling from outside Istanbul. If you require help with the cost of travel and overnight accommodation, please contact project team at k.gungor@idi.ie; s.dogrusoz@idi.ie

Please note that although these events will run consecutively they are two separate events which must be applied for separately using the appropriate link. Some content from the first event will be repeated at the second.

Because proposal submissions to the EIC must be made in English, both events will also be staged in English, although Turkish speakers will be available.

We look forward to receiving your applications and to meeting you there.
