About Cooperation

Cooperation between Turkey and UK continues within the scope of EU Programmes.

Apart from this, bilateral projects in various thematic fields are supported through periodically open calls in the scope of Katip Çelebi-Newton Fund within the context of the Protocol on Scientific and Technological Cooperation signed between TUBITAK and Research Councils UK (RCUK) on 10 March 2015.

Besides, bilateral projects in various thematic fields are supported through periodically open calls in the scope of Katip Çelebi-Newton Fund within the context of the Protocol on Scientific and Technological Cooperation signed between TUBITAK and British Council (BC) on 10 September 2015.

Academic Cooperation Statistics

A total of 18 projects have been supported through joint calls launched between 2014-2017 in the specific thematic fields within the context of the Protocol on Scientific and Technological Cooperation between TUBITAK and British Council (BC). The total budget of Turkish partners who have taken part in these projects is 8,273,940 TRY.

A total of 8 projects have been supported through joint calls launched in 2015 in the specific thematic fields within the context of the Protocol on Scientific and Technological Cooperation between TUBITAK and Research Councils UK (RCUK). The total budget of Turkish partners who have taken part in these projects is 5,297,253 TRY.

Industrial Cooperation Statistics

Turkey and UK have collaborated in a total of 8 projects supported within the context of the EUREKA Programme between 2010-2016.

Furthermore, Turkey and UK have collaborated in a total of 3 projects supported within the context of the Eurostars Programme since the programme’s inception.
