
Applications for the 2025 Chinguetti Prize, awarded by the Chinguetti Prize Council in Mauritania, are now open. This prestigious award honors outstanding contributions in the fields of Islamic studies, science and technology, literature, and the arts.
The application period runs from January 15 to March 31, 2025, with winners announced no later than October 31, 2025. Recipients of the Chinguetti Prize will receive a financial grant of 500,000 new Ouguiyas, along with an honorary degree and a medal.
The prize is open to Mauritanian and foreign researchers, as well as institutions of higher education, scientific research organizations, and cultural associations. Applicants' work must demonstrate significant originality and innovation in their respective fields.
