3.2
  27 April 2026

The CIRCULOOS project, funded under the HORIZON-CL4-2022-TWIN-TRANSITION-01-06 – ICT Innovation for Manufacturing Sustainability in SMEs (I4MS2) (Made in Europe Partnership) (IA) call within Horizon Europe Programme Cluster 4 – Digital, Industry and Space, has launched its Open Call #3.2 to strengthen and extend circular manufacturing supply chains. Approximately €600,000 from the total budget of the CIRCULOOS project, which started on 1 September 2023 and will run until 28 February 2027, will be allocated through cascade funding to support manufacturing SMEs and technology providers under this call.

CIRCULOOS develops digital tools such as the RAMP integrated IoT platform, Supply Chain Digital Twin, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tool, and a cybersecure data sharing infrastructure, enabling SMEs to become full members of circular value chains. These tools facilitate waste reduction, resource efficiency, product life extension, and the achievement of sustainability objectives in manufacturing processes. Through Open Call #3.2 (OC3.2), manufacturing SMEs, technology providers, and circular economy enablers will be able to join already-funded pilot lines and demonstrators as strategic partners. The primary objective of the call is to address technical bottlenecks, supply shortages, or market gaps in existing circular supply chains.

The call is structured into two complementary tracks:

  • Track A – OC2 Enhance: Focused on adding new partners to the 15 Demonstrators previously funded under Open Call 2, helping them resolve specific implementation gaps and reach operational scale.
  • Track B – Pilot Extensions: Focused on further strengthening the three core CIRCULOOS Pilots (Wood, Leather, Plastic) by introducing new R-strategies. Priority will be given to proposals addressing the Wood Pilot.

Applications are submitted online through the F6S platform. Applications are accepted in English only. The submission deadline is 10 June 2026, 17:00 (CET).

Important Dates

  • Call Opening: 8 April 2026
  • Info Webinar 1: 22 April 2026, 10:00 (CET)

Open Call 3.2 is strictly dedicated to single entities (consortium applications are not accepted). Manufacturing SMEs, Mid-Caps, recycling/upcycling companies, technology providers, and system integrators are eligible to apply. Research Organizations and Academic Institutes are also eligible, provided they develop and deploy their technical solution and integrate it into the pilot.

The total budget allocated for this open call is approximately €600,000, and funding will be provided under the Lump Sum cost reporting model.

  • Maximum grant per entity: €60,000
  • Funding rate (for-profit entities): 60%
  • Funding rate (non-profit entities): 100%
  • Target number of funded entities: Approximately 10
  • Project duration: 6 months

Each applicant may submit a maximum of 1 application per track; it is possible to apply to both Track A and Track B simultaneously. However, if successful in both evaluations, the applicant will only be selected and granted funding for one of the proposals.

All proposals will undergo an eligibility check followed by evaluation by a panel consisting of two external experts and one internal expert from the CIRCULOOS consortium.

Applicants are strongly advised to carefully review the Guide for Applicants and prepare their applications in accordance with the criteria outlined therein.
