The D-8 Bioinformatics Bootcamp 2025 is a two-week intensive and hands-on training program aimed at equipping young and early-career scientists with both fundamental and advanced skills in genomic data analysis and interpretation.
The bootcamp will bring together internationally recognized bioinformatics experts from the University of Florida, USA; Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan; University of Agriculture, Faisalabad; and other leading institutions. The program is designed to enhance the capacity of early-career researchers from D-8 member states, alongside selected participants from UAF and PCSIR, in the field of computational genomics.
Participants will gain practical experience in bioinformatics tools and techniques through hands-on training, while also having the opportunity to build networks and engage in collaborative research with fellow scientists from D-8 countries.
The bootcamp will be held at the University of Agriculture in Faisalabad, from June 16 to 27. Accommodation, meals, and local transportation costs for selected participants will be covered by the host institution.
