The ERC 2024 Advanced Grant Call (ERC-2024-AdG) opened for applications on 29 May 2024. The call is expected to close on 29 August 2024. In this call, it is planned to support 285 projects with a total budget of 703 million Euros. Detailed information about the call is available on our page.

A series of events are planned for researchers intending to apply for the call. The first of these events is the "ERC Advanced Grant National Information Day" webinar, which will be held online by TÜBİTAK on June 7, 2024, from 10:00 to 12:00. A representative from the ERC Executive Agency will also participate as a speaker in the event. The webinar will be conducted in English, and you can register here. Please submit your questions regarding the call through this form so that the speakers can prepare in advance.

Immediately following this event, at 12:00, the "Lump-Sum Webinar" organized by the ERC Executive Agency can be watched live on the ERC YouTube Channel.

There are some changes in this year's Advanced Grant call compared to previous years. These changes have been previously announced by the ERC. You can find TÜBİTAK's related announcement here. The changes can be summarized as follows:

  • The Lump-Sum funding model will be piloted in this call. This will not significantly change the project writing process; nor will it create any differences in the evaluation process.

  • The quality of the project proposal will be weighted more heavily based on the researcher's CV and track record.

  • The application format has been revised; the CV and track record sections have been combined into a single section, which should be no more than four pages and allow for text descriptions.

  • The "SH8-Studies of Cultures and Arts" panel has been added as a new panel, incorporating cultural studies, art history, architecture, music and musicology, visual arts and performing arts, museum studies, cultural heritage, and other related keywords from the SH5 panel, as well as social anthropology keywords from the SH3 panel. The new name for the SH5 panel is "SH5-Texts and Concepts."
