February Events under the EU Mission Adaptation Community 

  • From Rumor to Resilience by Preventing Misinformation in Climate Change Response (Thursday 26th February, 10.00 – 11.00 CET)

In this session, participants will explore the critical distinction between misinformation and disinformation through two presentations. These opening insights will outline the challenges practitioners face, scientific evidence underpinning trust and show how false narratives can put lives at risk during extreme weather events. Find out more and register to attend the event here. 

 

March Events under the EU Mission Adaptation Community 

  • Matchmaking regions and research and innovation actors for the 2026 Mission call (Thursday 19th March, 10.00 – 12.00 CET)

This interactive matchmaking event brings together regions, local authorities and research and innovation stakeholders to foster collaboration and support the development of strong project proposals for the 2026 EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change calls.   The session will focus on two key topics under the 2026 Work Programme:   

  • HORIZON-MISS-2026-01-CLIMA-05: Demonstrating solutions to protect and preserve cultural heritage from the impacts of climate change  

  • HORIZON-MISS-2026-06-CLIMA-SOIL: Joint demonstration of solutions to build soil resilience to extreme weather events and support food security 

Regions will have the opportunity to present their climate adaptation challenges and specific needs, while R&I stakeholders will be able to express interest for these and explore collaboration opportunities that support innovative and place-based solutions. Find out more and register to attend the event here. 

 

  • Making Nature-based Solutions work: Enabling conditions from practice (Thursday 26th March, 10.00 – 11.30 CET )

This online event brings together regional and local authorities, policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders to explore what enables successful implementation of Nature based Solutions (NbS) across Europe.  Through practical examples and peer exchange, participants will explore how financing, co-creation and governance approaches can support the uptake and scaling of NbS.
