We would like to announce that a Focus Group Training (Physical Event) on Horizon Europe Cluster 5 – Destination 1 Topics will be organised by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) under the “Turkey in Horizon 2020 Phase II” Technical Assistance Project which is co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey and implemented by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Industry and Technology within the scope of Competitive Sectors Programme. The event will be held on March 14-15, 2023 at Limak Ambassadore Hotel, Ankara
The event is a very intense two-day workshop targeting potential participants in Horizon Europe Framework Programme with little or no experience, as well as more experienced researchers that would like to learn about the new Horizon Europe 2023 calls of Cluster 5 on ‘Climate, Energy and Mobility’ and particularly the topics of Destination 1 “Climate sciences and responses for the transformation towards climate neutrality”. - Earth system science (D1-01-01, D1-01-02, D1-01-03, D1-01-04)
- Climate change mitigation, pathways to climate neutrality (D1-01-05, D1-01-06)
- Climate change impacts and adaptation (D1-01-07)
- Social science, citizen science and behavioural science for climate action (D1-01-08, D1-01-09, D1-01-10)
- International cooperation (D1-01-11, D1-02-01, D1-02-02)
In the first day, we will present the big picture of the calls, also providing insights into the context, vision, objectives, and expected impacts for the topics. Our thematic experts will offer a closer look at the implementation aspects and elaborate on the abovementioned open Calls for 2023. The 1st day will conclude with a discussion, while questions and clarifications received from the participants will be answered. The second day of the event will be dedicated to highly interactive sessions involving team working and one-to-one mentoring to potential applicants.
The sessions are structured in such a way to help participants grasp the fundamental concepts and offer an enhanced opportunity to shed light on practical aspects, helping them winning from the experience and extensive know-how of the experts. The content is enriched with presentations, training notes, curated literature from the EU, and useful templates.
