On 12 February, within the framework of the Türkiye in Horizon Europe Technical Assistance Project, TÜBİTAK MSCA NCPs will host a hybrid one-day General Introductory Training on MSCA Staff Exchanges Call 2026.
Within the policy architecture of Horizon Europe, mobility occupies a signature role as a mechanism for strengthening the European Research Area (ERA). The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, implemented under the Excellent Science pillar, are designed to reinforce Europe’s human capital base, enhance cross-border collaboration, and support the circulation of knowledge across institutional and sectoral boundaries. Staff Exchanges operationalise these objectives through short-term secondments that connect academic and non-academic organisations across countries.
To support Turkish Research Area into the journey of this very prestigious mobility action, we will meet in Ankara to tackle MSCA SE Call (2026) to tackle a concise overview of the programme’s objectives, eligibility conditions, and recent developments, followed by a focused review of proposal development logic, participation pathways and most importantly the novelties of the programme with came into our lives with 2026 Call.
At programme level, as a bottom-up call, MSCA Staff Exchanges have demonstrated significant scale and reach. The 2025 call attracted 363 proposals, involving 2 757 organisations from 134 countries, with approximately 17 % participation from non-academic actors, including private companies and SMEs. The indicative budget of nearly €100 million reflects sustained demand and policy confidence in the instrument’s capacity to reinforce intersectoral collaboration and institutional learning. Since the start of Horizon Europe, MSCA Staff Exchanges have supported thousands of secondments, contributing to long-term partnerships between universities, research organisations, and industry.
