The European Commission will organise an online Info Day on the NATURE and BRIDGING calls under the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2026–2027 on 16 October 2026.
The NATURE and BRIDGING calls are horizontal calls relevant for all Clusters under Pillar II of Horizon Europe.
The BRIDGING call aims to facilitate a smooth transition between the current Horizon Europe Programme and the new EU Research and Innovation Framework Programme for 2028–2034. The call focuses on three main areas:
Knowledge valorisation and data access,
Research infrastructures and data access,
Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The NATURE call aims to support additional research and innovation activities dedicated to biodiversity across Pillar II. Key areas covered by the call include:
Supporting the protection and restoration of nature through the use of Living Labs as innovation ecosystems,
Supporting sectors covered by the Clean Industrial Deal in assessing their dependencies and direct and indirect impacts on biodiversity,
Involving societal values and behaviours, strengthening data collection, mobilisation and management, and making use of advanced digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI), where appropriate.
During the Info Day, participants will learn about the policy background and objectives of the NATURE and BRIDGING calls, receive practical information on the topics open for application, and gain insights into project design, impact and implementation. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions during interactive Q&A sessions via Slido.
