
A training was held on 11 July 2023 in Ankara organized by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) under the“Turkey in Horizon 2020 Phase II” Technical Assistance Project which is co-financed by the EU and the Republic of Türkiye and implemented by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Industry and Technology within the scope of Competitive Sectors Programme.
The one-day event was held with the participation of 62 online and 20 on-site attendees and TÜBİTAK National Contact Point for Civil Security for Society, Culture, Diversity, and Inclusive Societies Ms. Dr. İlknur Yılmaz made the welcoming speech of the event. The thematic sessions of the event kicked off with the presentation of the Project’s Team Leader Mr. Odysseas Spyroglou regarding the agenda and scope of the Training. Afterward, Cluster 3 expert Ms. Theodora Tsikrika took the floor and made a presentation about the intelligence behind Cluster 3 open calls with a deadline 23 Nov 2023 and Intelligence in writing a grant application under Cluster 3 calls. Following Ms. Tsikrika, Project’s Training Coordinator Nikolaos Floratos shed light on the next steps for Turkish actors interested in exploiting the Cluster 3 – Civil Security for Society Calls. The event ended with the hands-on practice on today’s training including identifying and engaging with other actors active in calls under Cluster 3 – Civil Security for Society.
