What you will get
The Twin City programme will help you to develop streets shaped by active mobility that are both sustainable and inclusive for all your citizens. Participating Twin Cities will receive:
KNOWHOW
– Access to practical knowledge and experience from 32 international partners in creating just streets.
– Participation in 2 tailored in-person workshops, taking place in March 2026 in Ljubljana (Slovenia) and September 2026 in Milan (Italy).
– Full access to the Urban Future 2026 event, workshops, networking opportunities, and fieldtrips during your stay in Ljubljana.
– Peer learning opportunities with the JUST STREETS Cities.
DEDICATED SUPPORT
– Tailored support for your team, including guidance on
– Methodology for justice in urban street transformations
– City-level mobility planning (e.g., SUMP, SECAP)
– Stakeholder engagement and co-creation
– Funding and financing opportunities
– Support in creating a local Twin City Mobility Roadmap, identifying actionable steps.
FINANCIAL
– Travel and accommodation expenses up to 2,500 EUR covered for your participation in the 2 in-person workshops in Milan and Ljubljana (including Urban Future 2026), and the JUST STREETS Final Event.
Who is eligible to participate in the programme?
To be eligible for the JUST STREETS Twin City programme, applicant cities must be a local authority from one of the 27 EU member states or from one of the 16 countries with active association agreements with the Horizon Europe programme (Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Iceland, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Tunisia, Türkiye, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom).
