Navigating ERC Funding: Insights for Researchers
The event "Navigating ERC Funding: Insights for Researchers", jointly organized by TÜBİTAK, Bilkent University, and Middle East Technical University (METU), will take place on 9 June 2026 at the Bilkent UNAM Conference Hall. The event aims to inform researchers about the funding opportunities offered by the European Research Council (ERC).
As part of the programme, Aslı Vural, ERC National Contact Point at TÜBİTAK, will provide an overview of the ERC Programme, its funding schemes, and recent developments. The event will also feature ERC funded Principal Investigators who will share their experiences and insights on the application and evaluation processes. Speakers in this session include Assoc. Prof. Dr. Efe Tokdemir, recipient of an ERC 2025 Consolidator Grant, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yücel, recipient of an ERC 2021 Consolidator Grant and ERC Ambassador.
The second part of the event will include an open discussion session entitled "Beyond the Grant: ERC Conversations". Bringing together ERC grant holders, the ERC National Contact Point, and project development experts from Bilkent University and METU, the session will explore the ERC ecosystem, application processes, and the impact of ERC funding on research careers from different perspectives.
All researchers who are planning to apply for ERC funding or would like to learn more about the programme are invited to attend the event.
