Info session for Mission-minded cities

NetZeroCities has officially announced an upcoming information session dedicated to "Mission-minded" cities—municipalities outside the core 112 EU Mission Cities that share the ambitious goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050 or earlier. Scheduled ahead of the summer break, this session will unveil a comprehensive suite of learning opportunities, tools, and capability-building programmes tailored for the second half of 2026.

As cities face accelerating climate targets, the session aims to provide local authorities with the necessary resources to transition from strategy to systemic implementation.

Key Highlights of the Upcoming Support Package:

  • NetZeroCities Portal Upgrades: Introduction to advanced features, including the newly enhanced Learning Hub for knowledge sharing and the Self-Assessment Tool designed to help cities benchmark their climate readiness.

  • Capability Building Programme: A preview of the Online Planning Lab, a structured, project-based initiative designed to assist city teams in developing actionable decarbonisation roadmaps.

  • Peer Learning Networks: Opportunities to engage in cross-border knowledge exchange through EU-level twinning programmes and national-level climate platforms.
