TÜBİTAK will host an online information session on 16 December 2025 at 10:30 a.m. regarding interdisciplinary projects on ocean management, biodiversity conservation and strengthening climate resilience, within the scope of the Belmont Forum's Ocean Collaborative Research Action 2nd Call.
The Belmont Forum CRA Ocean 2 aims to advance transdisciplinary and sustainability-driven research that strengthens ocean stewardship, biodiversity conservation, and climate resilience through the co-design, co-creation, and co-implementation of innovative solutions.
Under this call, research proposals are expected to address at least one of the following three thematic areas:
- Theme 1: Biodiversity Conservation and Nature-Based Solutions
- Theme 2: Ocean–Biodiversity–Climate Interactions
- Theme 3: Nature Futures, Ocean Governance, and Ethics for Sustainability
This call promotes integrated, cross-regional, and multilateral collaboration that bridges science, policy, and society. It aims to reinforce evidence-informed decision-making, support transformative approaches to ocean governance, and contribute to the effective implementation of global agendas, including the Sustainable Development Goals, the Ocean Decade Challenges, and the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. An online information event will be held at 10:30 on December 16, 2025, for project teams in Türkiye interested in submitting joint R&D and innovation proposals under the Belmont Forum Ocean 2 CRA call.
