The Impact Assessment accompanying the European Commission’s February Communication “Europe’s 2040 climate target and path to climate neutrality by 2050” points to a need to increase capacity for P2X technologies for the 2030 and 2040 energy targets. EUREC is hosting a joint ETIP online event on power-to-x (P2X) to be held 6th November, from 10:30-12 CET. The event is a joint effort from ETIP PV and ETIP Wind, with contributions from ETIP SNET, ETIP Bioenergy, and TWG Hydrogen.
The workshop is a mix of panel discussions and presentations which will examine the feasibility of P2X deployment scenarios and the R&D challenges that wind, PV, grids and hydrogen will need to address to make these ambitious plans a reality.
