The PhotonQBoost Project, supported under the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme, aims to enable small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Europe to become more sustainable, resilient, and competitive by leveraging photonics and quantum technologies.
Many SMEs face challenges in adopting these advanced technologies due to limited awareness, expertise, and resources. The PhotonQBoost Project contributes to overcoming these barriers by connecting SMEs’ sustainability and resilience needs with practical photonics and quantum solutions. Within this framework, the project seeks to promote smarter resource use, increased productivity, and enhanced supply chain resilience.
PhotonQBoost is being implemented through the collaboration of seven photonics and quantum clusters, four specialised consultancy organisations, and two research and technology organisations from nine EU Member States. The project aims to contribute to the development of a strong European innovation ecosystem in photonics and quantum technologies and to support Europe’s global leadership in these strategic fields.
