
The application results of the 2025 single-stage calls under Horizon Europe Cluster 6: Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment, covering Destination 1 – Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, Destination 3 – Circular Economy and Bioeconomy Sectors, and Destination 4 – Clean Environment and Zero Pollution, have been announced.
With the participation of 6 organisations from Türkiye, a total of 5 projects have been selected for funding, receiving an overall EU contribution of €2,007,086.
Details of the funded projects are provided below:
BGEplus – Biodiversity Genomics Europe plus
Within the scope of the call “HORIZON-CL6-2025-01-BIODIV-03: Strengthening taxonomic approaches for biodiversity”, the supported project brings together 22 partners. The project aims to strengthen the production and use of genomic data for the taxonomic identification and monitoring of biodiversity, to develop harmonised approaches across Europe, to broaden stakeholder participation, and to establish joint roadmaps for translating genomic evidence into practice.
Ankara University participates in the project as a partner.
JUST-CIRCLE – Measuring and Advancing Circular Business Models for a Fair and Sustainable Transition
Supported under the call “HORIZON-CL6-2025-01-CIRCBIO-01: Novel circular business models to enable the just transition to a sustainable and circular economy”, the project involves 14 partners. The project focuses on developing circular business models that support a just transition, integrating sustainability and impact assessment approaches, and validating these models through pilot implementations across different sectors.

ORBIT – Operationalisation of Robust Bio-based and Industrial PEF Tools for Circular Compliance and Eco-Design
Within the scope of the call “HORIZON-CL6-2025-01-CIRCBIO-03: Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) of policy and market-relevant product groups”, the supported project brings together 17 partners. The project aims to develop and deploy Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) tools for the textiles, plastics/packaging, chemicals, and ICT/WEEE sectors, and to implement digital solutions supporting eco-design, environmental impact reduction, and regulatory compliance.
Zorluteks Textile participates in the project as a partner.
Biodiversa-Plus – The European Biodiversity Partnership
Supported under the call “HORIZON-CL6-2025-01-BIODIV-01: Additional activities for the European Biodiversity Partnership: Biodiversa+”, the project involves 87 partners and represents a continuation of the Biodiversa+ co-funded partnership. While the partnership will continue launching international calls in the field of biodiversity and ecosystem services, the project aims to develop scientific knowledge and tools for biodiversity monitoring, conservation, and restoration.

TÜBİTAK – The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye are participating in the project as partners.
FOREST – European Partnership for Forests, Forestry, and the Forest-based Sector: Research and Innovation for a Sustainable Transition
Supported under the call “HORIZON-CL6-2025-01-CIRCBIO-15: European partnership: Forests and Forestry for a Sustainable Future”, the project is a co-funded partnership consisting of 100 partners. The project aims to coordinate research and innovation activities related to forests and the forest-based sector across Europe, to align national and regional R&I programmes, and to develop solutions supporting the transition to a sustainable circular bioeconomy.
