Within the Horizon Europe Programme, the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership (SBEP) has announced its call titled “Thematic Portfolio Call for Interest.”
The call aims to support networking activities by bringing projects together over a two-year period from early 2026 to early 2028. Two thematic portfolios will be established under the call:
- Topic 1: Innovations and digitalisation for low-impact sustainable small-scale fisheries management in EU sea-basins
- Topic 2: Innovations for boosting sustainability in marine algae cultivations and circularity in the blue bioeconomy
Only ongoing projects that have already received national, regional, or EU funding are eligible to apply. In addition, projects must cover at least one of the specified sea basins (Mediterranean, Black Sea, Baltic Sea, North Sea, Atlantic).
📌Important Note:If your project is selected for the portfolio, the activities you carry out are expected to be conducted using your own resources (self-funded). Therefore, the SBEP Partnership expects a commitment from participants.
Application Process
Project coordinators interested in applying should:
- Complete the application form (Excel) available on the SBEP website.
- Send it together with a commitment letter to sbep-portfolio@agencerecherche.fr.
- Selected projects will be announced in December 2025.
