SoilManifesto
  14 June 2023

The Soil Health and Food Mission Manifesto, published to highlight the urgent need for action to protect soil health, represents an important step towards greater local participation by mobilizing a wide range of stakeholders such as municipalities, public institutions, private businesses, education institutions, research institutions, NGOs and philanthropic organizations. In addition, individuals can also become “Friends of the Mission Soil” by signing the Soil Health and Food Mission Manifesto. Signatories will be able to engage in activities to improve soil health and access the latest research results. In addition, they will have the opportunity to participate in events to share best practices for our soils.

By signing the Soil Health and Food Mission Manifesto, organisations and individuals can demonstrate their commitment to soil health protection and restoration and help to build momentum towards a more sustainable future. By becoming a soil advocate, anyone can make sure that no soil is being left alone.

The European Soil Mission Fair, the first of which will be held in November this year, is important in terms of raising awareness about the importance of soil, inviting stakeholders to share good practices and evaluating the research activities implemented so far.
