The European Mission Soil Week (EMSW) is an annual event aimed at promoting the Horizon Europe Mission 'A Soil Deal for Europe' - Mission Soil - raising awareness about the importance of soil health and driving action to protect and restore our soils.
The 2025 edition is organised by the Danish Ministry of Green Transition, Aarhus University, and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development, under the auspices of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU. It will take place on 5 – 6 November 2025 at Aarhus University, Denmark.
This edition focuses on investments and business models for soil health, recognising the growing momentum of public and private actors in channelling resources toward sustainable land management.
EMSW 2025 offers a unique platform to connect diverse stakeholders - including policymakers, researchers, land managers, financial institutions, businesses, philanthropies, and citizens. Through sessions, exhibitions, and networking, participants will explore practical models and inspiring solutions to accelerate the transition to sustainable soil management.
The in-person pre-registration for the third European Mission Soil Week will close on 15 September at noon!
Plenary sessions will be livestreamed on YouTube.
