EIC Pathfinder Webinar was held online on February 5, 2024 with the participation of over 60 participants and conducted by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) under the “Turkey in Horizon 2020 Phase II” Technical Assistance Project which is co-financed by the EU and the Republic of Türkiye and implemented by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Industry and Technology within the scope of Competitive Sectors Program
The event began with the commencement speech of TÜBİTAK European Innovation Council (EIC) National Contact Point Ms. Merve Diyar Kaya on EIC Pathfinder one of the funding mechanisms of the (European Innovation Council-EIC) which is one of the significant components of Horizon Europe. Ms. Kaya also covered EIC Pathfinder’s importance, Türkiye’s improvement within the scope of this program, and TÜBİTAK’s support to researchers who work in this field.
The event carried on with a full day-long informative and in-depth presentation of thematic expert Ms. Eva Garcia Muntion from RTDI -Research, Technology Development and Innovation on EIC Pathfinder’s strategic priorities, key concepts, essentials of a successful EIC Pathfinder proposal, writing styles, expectations from the consortium structure. Moreover, Ms. Muntion also shed light on Horizon Europe Horizontal Issues, useful online tools, and evaluation processes for EIC Pathfinder proposals in her presentations which were full day long and split into morning and afternoon sessions.
