WHAT IS COST?
The European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST Association) was founded in 1971 to bring together expert scientists in their fields from across Europe through international scientific networks called COST Actions. The organization's goal is to facilitate the internationalization of national research by connecting researchers working in their respective fields. Türkiye is among the founding members of COST. COST can be considered as the most important structure for providing network support to researchers in the European Research Area. It offers significant opportunities for Turkish researchers to access international expert researchers in their fields and to reach consortiums that will have important benefits for Türkiye as well through participating in international projects. COST Actions provide the shortest way to access the necessary international project groups, especially for participation in HORIZON EUROPE projects. Therefore, it provides great benefits for COST Member Country researchers who want to access international project consortia in their fields. COST is open to all scientists affiliated to institutions in the public and private sectors or academy. Financial support is provided for Management Committee (MC) and Working Group (WG) meetings, workshops, scientific conferences, scientific courses, short-term scientific visits, and publication of outputs from actions.
