Bu kapsamda, 1 Aralık 2026 tarihinde kapanacak olan HORIZON-CL5-2026-11-D3-23: Data sharing to support the training and development of AI foundation models in the energy sector çağrı başlığı kapsamında yapılan açıklamalar aşağıda bilgilerinize sunulmaktadır.
Question: The topic mentions “in particular the three AI factories that aim to develop AI applications for the energy sector”. However, the footnote associated points out to four AI factories. Could you clarify this discrepancy?
Reply: At the time of drafting the call, there were three AI factories that included energy as a sector in which they would provide services. Since then, this number has evolved to four AI factories, as the overall number of AI factories is increasing and new sectors are being added (link to the list of AI factories: https://www.eurohpc-ju.europa.eu/ai-factories_en). However, collaboration with AI factories is not a requirement under this topic. As stated in the Work Programme, “To scale up the training and development of the models, projects can benefit from the computing capacity of the AI factories that were recently announced by the European Commission, in particular the three AI factories that aim to develop AI applications for the energy sector.” The reference is intended to highlight that projects can benefit from their services, not put an obligation to collaborate with them. Hence, projects can benefit from the services of any of the existing AI factories.
