General Information

The European Partnership on Brain Health (EP BRAINHEALTH) Project, in which TÜBİTAK is one of the partners, has been qualified to be supported by the “HORIZON-HLTH-2025-02-DISEASE-01: EP BrainHealth” Call which was opened within the scope of Horizon Europe Health Cluster 1.

EP BRAINHEALTH Partnership is the continuation of Eranet NEURON and JPND projects. The main objectives of EP BRAINHEALTH are:

(i) to improve brain health, and prevent neurological and mental disorders,

(ii) to improve early diagnostic, monitoring, prognostic and effective intervention methods,

(iii) to improve patient care and support patients with brain diseases,

(iv) to approach the brain health with a social perspective,

The mission of the Partnership is to strengthen the translational collaborations and transform research findings into personalized solutions by supporting research and innovation activities associated with brain health so that all individuals have access to preventive processes, diagnostic methods and treatments.

EP BRAINHEALTH Partnership, coordinated by DLR-PT in Germany, consists of 51 organizations from 31 countries. Within this framework, TÜBİTAK will contribute to increased international cooperation by participating as a funding organization in multinational joint calls.

EP BRAINHEALTH Partnership is expected start on 01.01.2026 and last for 10 years.

Budget

The total budget, including the European Commission contribution, is expected to be approximately 485 Million Euros.

Call Information

Within the scope of EP BRAINHEALTH Partnership which will start on 01.01.2026, TÜBİTAK is expected to contribute a maximum of 600.000 Euros to annual multinational joint calls. Project proposal from our country will be supported via “1071 - Support Programme For Increasing Capacity To Benefit From International Research Funds And Participation In International R&D Cooperation”.

As part of EP BRAINHEALTH Partnership, two sub-calls with the thematic areas of "Neurological, Mental, and Sensory Disorders" and "Neurodegenerative Disorders" under the main call "Biological, social and environmental factors that impact the trajectory of brain health across the lifespan" will be launched in 2026.

Detailed information regarding the multinational joint call for 2026 is planned to be released in December 2025.
