Eligible Applicants and Conditions for Application

  • The Above-Threshold Award can be applied for by state universities, private universities, public institutions/organizations, and private capital institutions/organizations.

  • The award is granted to the project leader and their team, if applicable, who are listed as partners, principal investigators, or coordinators in the threshold-above project proposals.

  • For ERC projects, the award is given only to the principal investigator candidate.

  • Researchers working within foundations, associations, their economic enterprises, cooperatives, unions, chambers, and stock exchanges cannot apply within this scope.

  • To apply for the award, the total threshold score of the project, as well as the individual threshold scores for all sub-thresholds, must be met or exceeded.

  • Stakeholders who are eligible for the success award based on the results of the project cannot submit a threshold-above award application for the same project.

  • Projects that have received funding from the European Commission cannot benefit from the Threshold-Above Award.

  • Project teams from different institutions who are part of a project proposal scoring above the threshold, as determined by TÜBİTAK for the specific call, may benefit from the award, provided they apply according to the award application rules. However, if an individual is affiliated with multiple institutions within the same project, they will only receive one threshold-above payment.
