Organised within the scope of the Technical Assistance for Türkiye in Horizon Europe Project, the event titled “EIC Accelerator for Deep-Tech Innovators: Building Competitive Applications for Europe’s Flagship Deep-Tech Programme” was held on 12 June 2026 at the Istanbul Development Agency premises, Istanbul Chamber of Industry Fazıl Zobu Assembly Hall.
The event aimed to strengthen the capacity of innovative deep-tech companies from Türkiye to prepare competitive applications for the EIC Accelerator Programme, while providing practical guidance on available support mechanisms and strategic approaches to the application process.
The opening session featured remarks by Serkan Korkmaz Arslan, Acting Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship and Investment Support Office at the Istanbul Development Agency, and Tarık Şahin, National Contact Point for EIC/EIE/EIT at TÜBİTAK.
As part of the programme, senior experts Sanem Yalçıntaş and Miray Şanlı from the Technical Assistance for Türkiye in Horizon Europe Project delivered presentations on the EIC Accelerator Programme, 2026 calls, STEP Scale Up opportunities, competitive application strategies and TÜBİTAK EIC Short Application Development Support. The sessions also included practical insights into strong and weak application examples, providing companies with strategic guidance for improving the quality of their applications.
The event continued with bilateral meetings between participating companies and experts, during which project ideas, application preparations and available support mechanisms were discussed.
The event concluded with a Q&A and closing session.
