On Friday, 14 November 2025, the EURAXESS Türkiye Network held an informative online meeting with the participation of its service centers, focusing on the “Human Resources Excellence in Research (HRS4R) Award Mechanism.”
The meeting covered in detail the application process for the “HR Excellence in Research” (HR Award) logo, the evaluation stages, and the visibility benefits at the European Commission level. The session aimed to raise awareness of this prestigious award, currently held by only a few institutions in Türkiye, and to encourage more organizations to join the process.
The main presentation was delivered by Michele Rosa-Clot, HRS4R Portfolio Manager at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG R&I). Rosa-Clot explained the process steps (gap analysis, action plan, evaluation cycles) and shared insights on the advantages the award brings to research institutions.
EURAXESS Türkiye representatives emphasized that the process is entirely voluntary and free of charge, highlighting that the award strengthens institutions’ alignment with European standards and contributes to their international visibility. Participants were also informed about how the implementation of the 20 principles of the European Charter for Researchers can support long-term institutional development.
