The content of the event was based on the key aspects that evaluators base their judgement on, supported by coverage of research methods, market analysis, good practice in converting facts and data into winning proposals, writing techniques, the various requirements in ‘standard’ proposal sections and evaluators’ viewpoints on what is good practice to attract higher scores. The training included exercises to review and develop sample proposals, then compare notes against a checklist. There were also presentations on Horizon 2020 in general, the SME Instrument in particular and a presentation on working experience with Turkish SMEs seeking to write proposals for SMEI.
