Protecting and restoring the health of our marine and freshwater ecosystems by 2030 is the main goal of the Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters”. Research and innovation, citizen engagement and blue investment are among the ways of achieve this goal. Pledging an action to the Mission Charter is the first step of supporting a joint European effort to protect our ocean and waters in line with the Mission’s objectives.
Pledging an action can be in different forms, such as supporting R&I goals, offering access to knowledge or data, deploying novel solutions, providing education, engaging citizens to protect our aquatic ecosystems. All types of stakeholders including public or private organisations, national/regional/local authorities, philanthropists and investors, enterprises, civil society, academia can pledge actions.
