The results of the 2025 single-stage calls under Cluster 1: Health, within Pillar II “Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness” of the Horizon Europe Programme, have been announced. Under 13 highly competitive call topics, which were open for applications between 22 May 2025 and 16 September 2025, a total of 9,917 organizations competed with 714 proposals, and 50 projects were selected for funding. Within this context, 3 projects involving 3 organizations from Türkiye have been funded, with a total contribution amounting to EUR 1,465,540.00.
Details of the funded projects are provided below:
GenAI4Care -Collective Intelligence for Next-Generation Health Care Through Multi-Agent Generative AI
The project funded under the call topic “HORIZON-HLTH-2025-01-CARE-01: End user-driven application of Generative Artificial Intelligence models in healthcare (GenAI4EU)” includes 24 partners. The project aims to develop an innovative multi-agent generative AI system for healthcare by converting fragmented legacy AI tools into a coordinated network of intelligent, auditable agents aligned with European values and clinical requirements. Rather than relying on a monolithic AI model, the project will establish a federated and orchestrated system in which agents work together seamlessly, transforming isolated AI outputs into integrated, explainable, and patient-centred recommendations that enhance multidisciplinary care and incorporate patient preferences into decision-making.
SRDC Software Research & Development and Consultancy Corp. participates in the project as a partner.
AURORAI - ADVANCING PANDEMIC PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE THROUGH HIGH-QUALITY DATA
The project funded under the call topic “HORIZON-HLTH-2025-01-DISEASE-04: Leveraging artificial intelligence for pandemic preparedness and response” includes 14 partners. The project aims to enhance the EU’s capacity to respond rapidly and effectively to future pandemics by leveraging AI and high-quality, reliable data. The project seeks to develop a unified platform of explainable, ethical, and rapidly adaptable AI tools designed to address the main obstacles to pandemic resilience, including fragmented data, limited forecasting capacity, weak early warning systems, and the complexity of decision-making under uncertainty.
Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health participates in the project as a partner.
PHAGE4DAIR - A multicenter, double-blind Phase I/II trial evaluating safety and efficacy of a fixed phage cocktail vs. placebo + DAIR in treating S. aureus prosthetic joint infections
The project funded under the call topic “HORIZON-HLTH-2025-01-DISEASE-01: Testing safety and efficacy of phage therapy for the treatment of antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections” includes 25 partners. The project aims to evaluate, through a multicentre Phase I/II clinical trial, the safety and efficacy of a phage cocktail administered in addition to standard DAIR treatment for prosthetic joint infections.
International Joint Center participates in the project as an associated partner.
As the National Contact Points for Cluster 1: Health working at the Horizon Europe Programme Türkiye National Coordination Office within the TÜBİTAK EU Framework Programmes Directorate, we congratulate our institutions and wish them continued success.
