General Information
The "European Partnership for Pandemic Preparedness" (BE READY NOW) Project, which is among the partners of TÜBİTAK, has been awarded in the "HORIZON-HLTH-2024-DISEASE-12-01: European Partnership for Pandemic Preparedness" program opened within the scope of the Horizon Europe Program Health Cluster.
The aim of BE READY NOW Project is to advance research on emerging infectious health threats, reduce the burden of infectious diseases, address critical gaps in Europe and to ensure that Europe is better equipped to combat future health emergencies.
To achieve this goal, four different sub-goals have been identified:
(i) Gathering research on pandemic preparedness,
(ii) Increasing funding for innovative research,
(iii) Supporting research ecosystem preparation,
(iv) Developing research and innovation skills.
BE READY NOW Partnership, coordinated by the French National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM), includes 81 organizations from 27 countries. Within this framework, TÜBİTAK will contribute to increased international collaboration by participating as a funding organization in multinational joint calls.
BE READY NOW project is expected to launch on January 1, 2026, and will last 84 months.
Budget
The total budget, including the European Commission contribution, is approximately 118 million Euros.Call Information
As part of the BE READY NOW Partnership, which will begin on January 1, 2026, TÜBİTAK is expected to contribute a maximum of €800,000 per call to the annual multinational joint calls. Project proposals from Türkiye participating in these calls will be supported through the "TÜBİTAK - 1071 Support Programme for Increasing Capacity to Benefit from International Research Funds and Participation in International R&D Collaborations".
Regarding the multinational joint call launched in 2026, notification will be released between December 2025 and January 2026.
