CBE JU, the public-private partnership bringing together the European Union and the bio-based industries sector, has announced the signature of grant agreements for 24 new projects selected under its 2025 Call for Proposals.
The projects will receive a total of €172 million in funding to accelerate Europe’s transition towards a circular and sustainable bioeconomy, support the scale-up of bio-based industries, and facilitate the market uptake of innovative bio-based products. The funded projects involve 332 organisations from 32 countries. They are also expected to strengthen collaboration among SMEs, industrial actors, research organisations, and primary producers.
These newly funded projects demonstrate the growing momentum behind research, innovation, and scale-up activities aimed at advancing Europe’s bio-based industries. They offer valuable collaboration opportunities for Turkish universities, research organisations, SMEs, and industrial stakeholders active in areas such as biorefinery technologies, bio-based materials, sustainable packaging solutions, valorisation of agricultural and food by-products, biotechnology applications, and circular production systems.
