Supported by Cluster 4: Digital, Industry and Space, 6G Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (6G SNS JU) Stream D in 2022, "Advanced 5G Open Platform for Large Scale Trials and Pilots across Europe (IMAGINE-B5G)" project will be opening sub-calls by allocating 50% of the 2 million Euro support budget especially for SMEs and Start-ups, in order to subsidize the development and adaptation of 5G technologies across Europe.
IMAGINE-B5G project will be accepting applications during three pre-defined call periods and the applications for the first call of the project can be submitted until September 1, 2023. Organizations planning to apply for the first call will be needing to agree with the representative of the country where the laboratories of 5G experiments will be carried out (Norway, Spain, Portugal and France), applicants will have to reach an agreement before the application (Feasibility Check) and will need to declare in the application that they will work with the laboratory as indicated. Funding will be available for 11 to 15 projects on the Vertical Experiments - Trial and Pilots, each up to 100 thousand Euros; also 4 to 7 projects are expected to be supported in Platform Extensions (HW&SW) applications, up to 150 thousand Euros each.
Applications can be made by a single organization or two, and the determined project duration is 12 months (Vertical) and 18 months (Platform).
