Dear Representatives of Research Grant Providing Institutions,
The COFUND call under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) aims to provide additional funding to institutions that already have scholarship and support mechanisms for research projects or wish to establish such programs. This funding supports the creation of new regional, national, and international fellowship programs or the enhancement of existing ones.
Project proposals can be submitted to receive additional support for fellowship programs that fund postdoctoral researchers or doctoral students.
When applying for the COFUND call, the project proposal must include detailed information about the overall structure of the fellowship program, application procedures, evaluation processes, and its contributions at local, regional, and European Research Area levels.
Project proposals can support researcher mobility in two directions:
Outgoing mobility from Türkiye to abroad
Incoming mobility from abroad to Türkiye
The duration of the fellowship program can be up to 60 months. Researchers supported under the COFUND project must receive funding for a minimum period of three months. Additionally, researchers funded by COFUND must comply with the MSCA international mobility rule, which states that researchers should not have resided or carried out their main activity in the host country for more than 12 months in the last three years prior to their recruitment.
The 2025 MSCA-COFUND call opened on January 23, 2025, and is expected to close on June 24, 2025. A total budget of €101.80 million has been allocated for this call.
MSCA-COFUND project proposals must be submitted via the Funding and Tenders Portal. As the European Commission publishes updated documents through this portal, new documents will also be added to our MSCA-COFUND webpage.
At this stage, the newly published MSCA 2023-2025 Work Programme, which contains the latest information about the COFUND call, is presented for your attention.
