EIT Urban Mobility Call for proposals for RIS Hub activities for the period 2021-2027 in the countries Croatia, Latvia, Romania, Slovakia and Turkey

EIT Urban Mobility’s Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) is publishing a call for proposals (CfP) for RIS Hub activities in Croatia, Latvia, Romania, Slovakia and Turkey.

EIT Urban Mobility RIS Hubs should ensure active involvement of local Knowledge Triangle actors (industry, universities and research centres), as well as liaise and provide expertise to the relevant national, regional and local authorities. The RIS Hubs will also help identify potential funding and project opportunities for the Knowledge Triangle Integration (KTI), as well as provide advice to Knowledge Triangles on how to start project development and implementation.

This call for proposals is open to all stakeholders from the countries Croatia, Latvia, Romania, Slovakia and Turkey.

Horizon Europe Cluster 4: Digital, Industry & Space Info Days Event, 29-30 June 2021

Within the scope of Horizon Europe Information Days, which will be conducted between 28 June and 9 July 2021, an event of information sharing will also take place in the field of "Cluster 4: Digital, Industry and Space" on 29 and 30 June 2021. Presentations about cluster destinations will be held at the event, and those who want to apply will be provided with up-to-date information and the opportunity to ask questions.

An Online General & Introductory Training Event for the Horizon Europe Health Cluster will be held on the 28th of June!

On the 28th of June, at 14:00 (Turkish Time Zone), a General & Introductory Training (Webinar) event will be held. The event is organised by TÜBİTAK under the “Turkey in Horizon 2020 Phase II” Technical Assistance Project which is co-financed by the EU and the Republic of Turkey and implemented by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology within the scope of Competitive Sectors Programme.

The event is an introductory event, and is for potential participants for the Horizon Europe framework programme that have little or no experience, as well as more experienced researchers that would like to learn about the new Horizon Europe Structure and the Strategic Plan for 2021-24. The event focuses on the 2021-2022 Health topics under the new Cluster 1 section of the Pillar II area: Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness and further initiatives in health such as Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) and Cancer Mission.

The event will present the Horizon Europe Structure & Strategic Plan for 2021-2024 covering EU priorities and Work Programme destinations and outlining the Key Strategic Orientations, expected impacts & corresponding Work Programme destinations. It will also cover Horizon Europe Call & Proposal Documents including the new Proposal Template.

The sessions are structured in a way that will help participants grasp the fundamental concepts of the Horizon Europe Programme Strategic Plan related to Health. The content is enriched with presentations, training notes, curated literature from the EU, and useful templates.

You are invited to EuCNC & 6G 2021 Conference

EuCNC & 6G Joint Summit (European Conference on Network and Communication - 6G Summit) will be held online between 8-11 June 2021.

More than 1300 delegates from more than 40 countries will be taking part in the summit, which will host many workshops where new application and test infrastructures will be discussed on the way to the future technologies, mobile IoT and expansion of 5G network in telecommunication.

Horizon Europe Info-days Take Place between 28 June and 9 July 2021

The European Commission announces today the first edition of the Horizon Europe info-days, to take place online from 28 June  to 9 July 2021.

The 10-day event will give the opportunity to prospective applicants, and other stakeholders of EU research and innovation, to receive information and ask questions about the novelties, main funding instruments and processes of Horizon Europe.

The Horizon Europe info-days will address 9 themes, each featuring a programme of exclusive discussions and hands-on sessions, dedicated to a different cluster or part of the new programme. .

The 9 themes will take place following the Horizon Europe info-days calendar:

  • 28 Jun - Infrastructures
  • 20 & 30 Jun - Digital, industry & space (cluster 4)
  • 30 June - Civil security for society (cluster 3)
  • 1 July - Culture, creativity & inclusive society (cluster 2)
  • 1 July - The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions: what is new under Horizon Europe

New EIT Strategy to Power Europe’s Largest Innovation Network

The promotion of new EIT 2021-2027 Strategy will be made online on 14 June 2021 by the participation of the inspiring speakers such as Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth; Manuel Heitor, Portuguese Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education; and Gioia Ghezzi, Chair of the EIT Governing Board.

The launch event will consist of two parts:

  • a high-level policy session including high-level speakers
  • four thematic sessions focused on the main focus areas of the EIT’s new strategy

40 New COST Actions Launching!

40 new COST Actions have been approved by written procedure by the Committee of Senior Officials on 25 May 2021.

Memorandum of Understanding documents of each new COST Actions will be published on COST web site on 23 June 2021.

Management Committee Member nomination system will as well be activated with the publication of Memorandum of Understanding documents. Accordingly, applications for new Actions will start on 23 June 2021.
