2Zero Partnership online May 19!

The “Towards zero emission road transport” (2ZERO) partnership will launch soon, as part of the new framework programme of the EU: Horizon Europe. It will be the continuation and extension of the European Green Vehicles Initiative. Building upon the success of previous initiatives (Green Cars and Green Vehicles), the 2Zero partnership will address the challenge of decarbonisation of road transport in a systemic way.

The preparations to present the future co-programmed partnership Towards zero emission road transport (2Zero) are underway.

Mark your agenda: On May 19, the European Commission representatives and stakeholders from EGVIA will introduce the future co-programmed partnership. The programme will be shortly announced.
This introduction event will be followed by 4 “Get Lunch with 2Zero” online meetings in June. Each of the online meetings will present a pillar of the partnership – pillars structuring the partnership’s activities and interacting to identify R&I challenges and priorities:

  • Pilar 3 “Innovative concepts and services for the zero tailpipe” – 1st June from 12 00 to 13 00
  • Pilar 2 “The integration of BEV into the energy system and related charging infrastructure” – 8th June from 12 00 to 13 00
  • Pilar 1 “Vehicle technologies and vehicle propulsion solutions for BEV and FCEV” – 15th June from 12 00 to 13 00
  • Pilar 4 “LCA and circular economy approaches for sustainable and innovative road mobility solutions“- 22nd June from 12 00 to 13 00

“Shape the future of Digital Manufacturing Platforms in Horizon and Digital Europe” Interactive Workshop, 19 May 2021

All the projects in the Connected Factories ecosystem are warmly invited to actively participate in the interactive workshop “Shape the future of Digital Manufacturing Platforms in Horizon and Digital Europe”. Representatives are invited to collect business cases from their projects, to describe them in the EFFRA Innovation Portal, to position them as industry-driven bridges towards Made in Europe and Data-AI-Robotics Partnerships and to identify challenges and recommendations to be addressed for the full adoption of Digital Technologies in Manufacturing. The event will collect experiences and lessons learned in the preparation, conduction and exploitation of DMP industrial cases, and interpret them in the light of future EC partnerships and work programmes.

Horizon Europe Strategic Plan 2021-24 & 2021-2022 Mobility Topics (Cluster 5) General & Introductory Training (Webinar)

We have the honour to invite you to our General & Introductory Training (Webinar) organised by TÜBİTAK under the “Turkey in Horizon 2020 Phase II” Technical Assistance Project which is co-financed by the EU and the Republic of Turkey and implemented by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology within the scope of Competitive Sectors Programme.

The event is an introductory event targeting potential participants in Horizon Europe framework programme with little or no experience, as well as more experienced researchers that would like to learn about the new Horizon Europe Structure and the Strategic Plan for 2021-24. The event focuses on the 2021-2022 Mobility topics (Clean and competitive solutions for all transport modes; Safe, Resilient Transport and Smart Mobility services for passengers and goods) under the new Cluster 5 section of Pillar II area: Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness.

The event will present the Horizon Europe Structure & Strategic Plan for 2021-2024 covering EU priorities and Work Programme destinations and outlining the Key Strategic Orientations, expected impacts & corresponding Work Programme destinations. It will also cover Horizon Europe Call & Proposal Documents including the new Proposal Template.

The sessions are structured in such a way to help participants grasp the fundamental concepts of Horizon Europe Programme Strategic Plan related to Mobility. Particularly Destinations 5 and 6 of Cluster 5:

  • Destination 5 – Clean and competitive solutions for all transport modes
  • Destination 6 – Safe, Resilient Transport and Smart Mobility services for passengers and goods

The content is enriched with presentations, training notes, curated literature from the EU, and useful templates.

Joint Call for proposals of The European Interest Group (EIG) CONCERT Japan has been Launched!

The European Interest Group (EIG) CONCERT Japan is delighted to announce the opening of the joint call for proposals on the theme of “Sustainable Hydrogen Technology as Affordable and Clean Energy)” from interested researchers are now accepted, until July 9th this year.

The joint call titled “Sustainable Hydrogen Technology as Affordable and Clean Energy)” has been launched in the context of EIG CONCERT Japan, which is an independent platform for the development of scientific and technological cooperation between Europe and Japan. Applications will be submitted until July 9th, 2020 (10.00, Central European Time)  this call.

2nd Brokerage Event of Eurogia Green Transition

Coordinators Support for EIC Accelerator Projects

Coordinators Support Programme deadline for the EIC Accelerator Open and EIC Accelerator Challenge calls, which have been opened for the first time within the scope of the Horizon Europe Programme and whose call closing date is June 16, 2021, is set as May 17, 2021.*

For the EIC Accelerator Program, only 'Full Applications' will be supported and 'Short Applications' are not subject to support.

* The deadline for applications to the Coordinators Support Programme is 45 days before the closing date for calls in all areas except EIC Accelerator Open and EIC Accelerator Challenge first calls.

Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions 2021 Calls Webinar

Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), which will continue to provide support under the Horizon Europe launched this year, aims to strengthen the human potential in the field of research and technology in terms of quality and quantity, support the career development of researchers and international and intersectoral researcher circulation, thus make Europe and Turkey a center of attraction for researchers.

In order to provide detailed information about the calls that will take place with the new program, "Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions 2021 Calls Webinar" will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, between 10:30 - 15:30 (TR Time) - 09:30 - 14:30 (CET).

All the researchers from academia, industry, public and all other fields can participate in the online event, in which MSCA unit of the European Commission and the President of TUBITAK Prof. Dr. Hasan MANDAL will also participate.

After the opening speeches by TÜBİTAK and the European Commission in the program, detailed information will be provided by the European Commission unit manager about the call for Postdoctoral Fellowships (formerly IF-Individual Scholarships), which offers attractive opportunities for individual postod research and is expected to be opened on 22 June, and tips on writing a successful project will be shared from both the perspective of an expert and a successful fellow. Afterwards, the European Commission will inform about other calls, especially Doctoral Networks (former ITN), which is expected to be opened also on June 22, and TÜBİTAK Horizon Europe Supports will be explained. During the program, researchers will be able to submit their questions via the Webinar system and the questions will be answered in the Q&A session at the end of the program.
