The second edition of the European Hydrogen Week will be held on 29 November - 3 December 2021 in order to evaluate the latest developments at the European Union level in the hydrogen sector and to promote the public launch of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership. European Robotics Forum 2021 (ERF2021)

The European Robotics Forum 2021 (ERF 2021), the most influential meeting of the robotics community in Europe, will be held as a virtual event 13-15 April 2021 with the option to hold few sessions and side events such as lab tours the days before and/or after. The ERF2021 covers all aspects and current themes related to the field of robotics. Researchers, engineers, managers, and a growing number of entrepreneurs, business people, and public funding officers from all over Europe come together to discuss technology push and market pull and how innovation in robotics and robotics-related AI can be accelerated.

Focused Group Training on Open Science & Research Data Management (RDM)

We have the honour to invite you to our 11th Focus Group Training on Open Science (Online Workshop) under the “Turkey in Horizon 2020 Phase II” Technical Assistance Project which is co-financed by the EU and the Republic of Turkey and implemented by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology within the scope of Competitive Sectors Programme.

The event is a 2-day intensive online workshop focusing mainly on researchers and other participants of Horizon Europe framework programme with little experience, as well as more experienced researchers that would like to learn about the new Horizon Europe Open Science initiatives and the management of research data.

The event will present the routes and mandates of Open Science publications and the necessary tools and repositories that can help the researchers adopt the FAIR principles. The European Open Science Cloud is also presented along with best practices and instructions on how to prepare Data Management Plans. The sessions are structured in such a way to help participants grasp the fundamental concepts of Open Science and Research Data Management and learn how to best apply them in their own projects. The content is enriched with presentations, training notes, curated literature from the EU, and useful templates.

Call For External Evaluators And Rapporteurs

EIT Urban Mobility is looking for external experts to support the evaluation of the applications received during the launched calls for proposals. The portfolio of proposals to be evaluated cover the thematic areas of Innovation, Business Creation, Academy, Citizen Engagement, Public Realm and Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS).

Independent external experts may assist in the evaluation of proposals or by performing the role of rapporteur during the evaluation process. Skills, professional experience and expertise linked to any of EIT Urban Mobility’s priorities are welcome.

Horizon Europe - Actions for bioenergy, biofuels and renewable fuels

The online workshop on Horizon Europe – Actions for bioenergy, biofuels and renewable fuels will be held on 26 April 2021 as a parallel event in the 29th edition of the European Biomass Conference & Exhibition.

During this event, the participants will get information about Horizon Europe and in particular on actions related to biomass.

The programme will focus on global challenges and in particular on cluster 5, Climate, Energy and Mobility, presenting the actions for Sustainable, Secure and Competitive Energy Supply.

3rd European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving – EUCAD 2021

The European Commission, together with the ARCADE project[1], is pleased to announce the third European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving, which will be held virtually from 20 to 22 April 2021.

The conference consists of a series of plenary sessions complemented by several thematic breakout discussions as well as a virtual exhibition available throughout the event. The first two days of the programme are primarily policy-oriented while the third day is fully dedicated to break-out sessions discussing specific R&I challenges. All break-out sessions feature interactive panel discussions on specific R&I questions, combined with active audience participation. The virtual exhibition features R&I projects active in the field of automated mobility, including their presentation, documentation and contact information. The exhibition could also feature virtual demonstrations by some large-scale pilot projects.

EIT Urban Mobility Call for Proposals BP 2022-2024 Launched!

First calls for proposals for the Business Plan 2022-2024 on the Thematic Areas of Academy, Business Creation, Citizen Engagement, Innovation and Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS), as well as a transversal call of Public Real have been launched. The deadline for submissions is 18 May 2021 at 23:59 (CET).

Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions 2021 Calls Webinar

Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), which will continue to provide support under the Horizon Europe launched this year, aims to strengthen the human potential in the field of research and technology in terms of quality and quantity, support the career development of researchers and international and intersectoral researcher circulation, thus make Europe and Turkey a center of attraction for researchers.

In order to provide detailed information about the calls that will take place with the new program, "Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions 2021 Calls Webinar" will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, between 10:30 - 15:30 (TR Time) - 09:30 - 14:30 (CET).

All the researchers from academia, industry, public and all other fields can participate in the online event, in which MSCA unit of the European Commission and the President of TUBITAK Prof. Dr. Hasan MANDAL will also participate.

After the opening speeches by TÜBİTAK and the European Commission in the program, detailed information will be provided by the European Commission unit manager about the call for Postdoctoral Fellowships (formerly IF-Individual Scholarships), which offers attractive opportunities for individual postod research and is expected to be opened on 22 June, and tips on writing a successful project will be shared from both the perspective of an expert and a successful fellow. Afterwards, the European Commission will inform about other calls, especially Doctoral Networks (former ITN), which is expected to be opened also on June 22, and TÜBİTAK Horizon Europe Supports will be explained. During the program, researchers will be able to submit their questions via the Webinar system and the questions will be answered in the Q&A session at the end of the program.

European Partnership on Metrology Call for Needs 2021 Open for Applications

EURAMET e.V. announces the launch of the 2021 Call for Needs for the following topic areas, within the potential European Partnership on Metrology. Please note that the European Commission has published its candidates for European Partnerships under Horizon Europe, including the proposal submitted by EURAMET. 2021 Call for Needs for the following topic areas:

  • Research Potential related to the Green Deal
  • Metrology support for the Green Deal
  • Metrology support for Regulation and Standards

The Call is in general a two-stage process for joint research projects. As the partnership is still pending and subject to decision, EURAMET announces only the Call for Needs:

  • Call for Needs (Stage 1) of the Call is for potential research topics and is open to any interested party, and opens 13 January 2021: Deadline 22 February 2021, 23:59 CET.
  • The outcome of the Call for Needs could serve as a basis for a potential partnership call later in 2021 for joint research projects and is subject to eligibility criteria which may open in the third quarter of 2021.
