
Within the scope of the “Türkiye in Horizon Europe” Technical Assistance Project, a Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU) Info & Networking Day will be organised in hybrid format on 3 April 2026 in Ankara.
The event is organised by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK). The Technical Assistance Project is co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye and implemented by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Industry and Technology within the scope of the Competitive Sectors Programme.
The event aims to bring together stakeholders from academia, industry, startups, and the public sector to explore the strategic priorities, funding instruments, and collaboration mechanisms under the European Chips Act and the Chips Joint Undertaking.
Topics to be addressed during the event include:
Türkiye’s positioning in Horizon Europe and Chips JU
Strategic priorities in semiconductor design, manufacturing, pilot lines, and competence centres
Funding instruments and participation modalities
Emerging technical trends, including AI enabled systems, automotive and energy applications, hardware software co design, health technologies, and power electronics
Consortium building strategies and lessons learned from ECSEL, KDT, and Chips JU projects
Structuring competitive proposals aligned with EU priorities such as sovereignty, sustainability, and resilience
National co funding schemes and proposal support mechanisms
Pitching opportunities and networking sessions
The programme will be delivered by thematic European experts while TÜBİTAK National Contact Points (NCPs) will be present throughout the event to answer participants’ questions and provide guidance where relevant. The event will offer a comprehensive programme drawing on a rich body of European Commission policy documents, programme materials, and implementation practices related to the European Chips Act and the Chips Joint Undertaking.
