ERANETMED is looking for independent experts to participate in the evaluations of its Third Joint Call for proposals.
We are looking for experienced scientists and researchers, who are interested in supporting the peer review of applications to be submitted in response to the third ERNANETMED joint call for proposals on “Fostering sustainable water management for the economic growth and sustainability of the Mediterranean region”.
Countries that are participating in the ERANETMED Joint Call are: Algeria, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Spain Tunisia, Turkey and CIHEAM as International Organization. As a basic condition, all projects must be collaborative research projects. Applicants are encouraged to take into account for their research important cross-cutting issues, particularly: socio-economic, governance, ICT and gender. Required Skills
In order to serve as evaluator in the ERANETMED call, you must have proven experience in one or more of the following areas or activities:
Management or evaluation of Science and Technology projects;
- International cooperation in science and technology; development of human resources;
- Use of the results of research and technological development projects;
- Technology transfer and innovation.
- Experience in cross-cutting issues, e.g. socio-economics, governance, ICT, gender
- Appropriate skill in usage of the English language is mandatory.
Knowledge of and experience in European-Mediterranean research collaboration is considered an advantage towards selection as evaluator.
Evaluation Framework
The deadline for submission of proposals will be 15 July, 2017. After the eligibility check of the submitted proposals, we hope to start the assignment of proposals to the evaluators, end of July, 2017. The tentative period for the evaluation of proposals is August- mid October 2017. Proposals will be in English language and about 20 pages project description and additional specifications on project partners, breakdown of costs and annexes. We offer remuneration of 50 € for each evaluation. We expect between 1 - 5 proposals per peer reviewer. Selected peer reviewers will receive online access to an online evaluation system and to the respective documents. Detailed guidelines for evaluators will be provided.
Please have in mind that you cannot apply if you have a conflict of interest (e.g. being applicant).
Registration as an Evaluator
In case you are willing to participate, please register at the expert database on https://secure.pt-dlr.de/evalinco/main/login. The data base will check the matching degree of keywords of the submitted proposals with the keywords of your specified expertise.
