The DiverSea Project will develop innovative marine observation and monitoring technologies linked to an interactive platform to make new types of data accessible for evidence-based decision-making processes.

Through seven work packages, the 17 partners of the project will synthesize multiple research areas within a workflow. This includes developing and refining novel DNA-based monitoring technologies, integrating diverse data types from various sources, and visualizing and delivering this data through a state-of-the-art dashboard to facilitate its integration into policy and planning. To communicate DiverSea’s scientific outcomes to policymakers, stakeholders, and the general public, an interactive platform called the "Biodiversity Services Dashboard" will be provided. This dashboard will visualize key environmental and socio-economic indicators alongside scenarios for societal and functional biodiversity interactions, enabling the evaluation and comparison of policy and planning alternatives while considering the needs of diverse stakeholders.
