Aim of the Project is to design and produce a lightweight and safe operational battery system for 100% electric vehicles with environmentally friendly design approach that achieves longer driving distances by charging in shorter times.

Tackling Big Global Problems
20% improvement of life cycle assessments compared to existing systems will contribute significantly to circular economy targets. In addition, using lighter and recyclable materials in production will contribute to the protection of the environment. Furthermore, with lighter, longer driving range, faster charging battery systems, people can make a faster transition from vehicles using fossil-based fuels that produce greenhouse gases to more environmentally friendly electric vehicles.

- Using composite coated aluminum structural parts and assembling with advanced joining methods
- On-board demo tests in real conditions
- Developing a battery system that can provide 480 km range with maximum charge
- Up to %80 capacity with 30 mins. charging

Research-induced Changes in National Policies and Strategies
The emergence of a successful and safe battery system may increase the investment of our country, which specializes in the production and export of fossil fuel vehicles, in electric vehicles, which are the technology of the future, due to both decreasing underground resources and increasing environmental awareness. In addition, project outputs can support domestic electric car studies.
Effect on Foreign Dependency and Current Account Deficit
With this project, safer, longer-lasting and faster charging of electric vehicles can change the public's view of electric vehicles at the national level and reduce the number of sales of fossil fuel vehicles, thus reducing the dependence on fossil-based fuel, which is mostly imported, and thus the current account deficit.
In addition, the export of battery structural parts, which is currently limited, can be accelerated with the technical know-how to be obtained in the project. With competitive product development policies, our country's market share can be increased.
Contribution in Developing/Receiving Public Goods and Services
With the successful conclusion of this project, the interest in electric vehicles may increase. This will help these low-cost transportation vehicles to become widespread among the people. Thus, it can be foreseen that the transportation costs of the public and public institutions will decrease. Decreased transportation expenses can be used in different areas for society.
Contribution to the Development of Vocational Skills and Professional Abilities
Although there are academic studies on battery design related to electric vehicles in our country, studies at the industrial level are still limited. One of the main reasons for this can be said to be the lack of sufficient qualified human resources. The partners working in this project are among the leading organizations in Europe in their field, and the project team will have the opportunity to learn in detail each step of the development of such a product from scratch to the operational level by sharing information throughout the project. And cooperation with these partners will directly contribute to the development of the technical and managerial skills of the personnel in this field.
In addition, working with many competent partners from many different countries will enable the project team to develop their competencies to work in multi-cultural environments.
