NIMBLE will be compliant with the Reference Architecture Model for Industry 4.0 (RAMI 4.0) and Industrial Internet Reference Architecture (IIRA). Overall NIMBLE architecture is composed of modular block which then can be customized for specific firm / sector/ country. NIMBLE will be able to deal with heterogeneous data including semantic, relational, raw sensor and document based data along with modular adapters for gathering such information.

Considering the pilots to be held in the scope of project life-time, the impact generated by NIMBLE is as follows: faster supply chain formation, faster sourcing of materials/partners, easy and clear evidence for product/part tracing, improved production tracking, reduced supplier defect rates, reduced transportation costs.

One of the main goals of NIMBLE is to be able to address firms with any size. In this respect, B2B collaboration, data integration kind of services will be designed in a way that allows their usage by business users without dealing with technical details. Furthermore, thanks its generic B2B collaboration services, NIMBLE does not focus on a single sector but targets any industry sector. Nevertheless, it still customizable for specific sectors thanks to its flexible and modular technical architecture.
