Auto-DAN project will address all of these outlined issues by
- exploiting of IoT and other ICT technologies (both at software and hardware/equipment level) to capture data and create solutions
- creating an Augmented intelligence (AuI) that will deliver assistive automation in buildings,
- creating a new dynamic self-assessment methodology that takes into account the actual energy performance of a building.
This leads to a trebled-structured project framework that provides building users with the awareness to proactively self-optimize their energy use.
The project will be demonstrated and validated in 79 buildings across six core demonstration sites in Ireland, Italy and Spain.
Investments in smart technologies triggered 10 years after the completion of the project will be over €26 million while investments in sustainable energy triggered by the project is anticipated to be over €186 million. 10 years after the project end, generating 215 GWh in primary energy savings per year.
The project expects to impact all actors from building decision makers and occupants through to engineers, smart technology providers, construction companies, energy efficiency financiers and installers.
Auto-DAN will improve the capacity and skills of technicians, construction companies, building managers and owners, architects and engineers, building energy managers/auditors, and workers Auto-DAN will contribute to create at least 137 new jobs to the EU economy.
